2D Composition - Drew Struzan
This week we are to examine composition from the artist Drew Struzan. I liked his Return to Oz poster because it has such vibrant colors and it has two different types of composition. Circular and Iconic.

2D Week 4 - Value
Here I created values from a sketch from Frank Frazetta. This was to practice values but we also used a workflow and color theory from Valve's DOTA designs. One of the things Valve does with it's characters is to create a Value Gradient. A Value Gradient is used to create the illusion of depth and three-dimensionality to their characters. The value should shift from darkest at the feet to the lightest at their upper body and head. This makes their characters more visually pleasing and it helps players see their characters more easily.
